About Boat Plans

We have listed several boat design websites.  These are the ones we are familiar with, but there are a lot of other companies out there. Just search on the web for them.

There are also free boat plans that can be found on the web. However, if you have never built a boat we recommend you purchase plans from a reputable company.

Places you can purchase plans

Roy Designed That

I know the company name sounds odd, but Roy’s designs are so unique.

The plans are extremely well done with lots of pictures and verbiage. In fact, we built the Diannes’ Rose Houseboat. (Sandi Lee II). We built all the parts in our garage and then put it together like a puzzle. We have outings with our complete family (9 people) with plenty of room.

Roy has lots of You Tube video showing the construction and outings.

In short, Roy’s plans are top notch!
